You give your all to your work, your family and the world around you.
Yoga and meditation are tools for giving back—to yourself. When you bring these simple practices into your week, you may be amazed by the energy, clarity and calm you find within yourself.
Move your body,
straighten out your head.
Do you wish you could get more done, focus on the people you love, feel energized, bring real pep to your work, focus your brain, pull it all off in style and actually feel less freaked out?
That’s what happened to me when I discovered yoga a decade ago.
I’m Vicky Meikle and the first time I found myself in downward dog, it was like landing on another planet. Foreign, yes. Awkward, definitely.
But there was something. Sometimes I didn’t know what to do (“surya nama-what?”) but I felt good afterwards.
So I came back for more.
I still couldn’t do all the poses. It didn’t matter. At the end, I was always lighter. More buoyant.
A new ease was showing up in my life and, believe me, it hadn’t always been there.
Here’s more on that.
Fast forward a few years to when I said good-bye to an adrenaline-fueled career in event planning. It wasn’t who I wanted to be or how I wanted to feel anymore.
I wanted to be present and alive in my life, which is what yoga was teaching me.
I wanted to share these life-opening practices with others.
Now, that’s just what I do.
